AYRA NATURALLE PAPAYA BEAUTY BAR

Bismillah...

Hi fellow readers! For this entry, I've decided to write a review about a natural beauty papaya soap, a local Malaysian product from AYRA NATURALLE.

This beauty soap is actually quite a new product introduced in our Malaysian local market, so perhaps most of you my dear readers might be wondering and curios what does this beauty bar is all about? Is it good?Is it effective on your skin?As its name suggests, Papaya Beauty Soap, definitely we can make an early guess that a part of the ingredients AT LEAST contained in this soap is of course Papaya! Since I was a kid, I've been reading in magazines (see, I've gained interest in beauty products since I was still was a little girl!) about the goodness that our body can absorbed from the consumption of papaya in our diet and even my lovely mama used to tell me that eating papaya is actually very beneficial for our digestive system and also our skin. Papaya is very well known for its rich amount of antioxidants and an enzyme called papain based on my very recent reading. So, what actually interests me to give this product a chance on my skin is that it is 100% handmade, 100% organic which means it is chemical free! (I always love handmade products). Furthermore, since it is 100% natural, I don't think it will give me great harm to my face, the least I could get is pimples gonna appear on my face (I do get pimples when a product seems not to really adapt to my skin type, mybe because me and that product just don't have chemistry together???)Before I purchased this soap, I did some researches on reviews on this product (since it is really NEW, I do have doubt to try it on my skin at first). But I couldn't find one (again, because it is REALLY NEW). So, I looked for reviews on papaya soap instead. There are a few reviews on papaya soap, but from another brands not AYRA NATURALLE. Most of the reviews claim that the papaya soap that they used are very cheap and is widely available on most pharmacies or supermarkets (in other words, very easy to find one). And the papaya soap works well on their skin despite their cheap price. So, I decided to give this soap a try.

FIRST IMPRESSION:

First of all, let's talk about the packaging. The packaging is neat and it was wrapped tightly with a plastic. When I unwrapped the soap from its plastic cover, I just love the herbal smell that comes from it! The smell is just so natural and so chemical-free I would say.

PRICE:

The price is RM 20 because I purchased this soap during promotion, the normal price would be RM 25. I think it is affordable and one papaya bar could lasts for about more than 2 months depends on usage??  (I cut it into 4 pieces so that it could lasts longer. Never even managed to finished the first cut yet!)

AFTER  I TRIED THE PRODUCT:

Well, according to the testimonials that I read from previous customers using this soap at the seller's Facebook, most of them claimed that this soap managed to reduce the pimples on their faces. And another claim from most customers is that, this soap is able to reduce the appearance of their oily face (that's the main reason I purchased this soap!). I've been using this soap for almost a month already, but I guess the soap isn't just for me. Maybe different people would get different results, as we don't have the same skin type right? I didn't receive any negative effects on my face from using this soap, but I still can't see the reduction of the appearance of oil on my face. The soap does nothing on me for that purpose. So as my pimples (they are still there even after I used the soap) But one thing I should give credit to this soap is, it is 100% chemical free as it claims to be. Why I said this??? Because most chemical beauty products would definitely make your face worse than before if in case, it doesn't adapt well with your skin, but not this soap from AYRA NATURALLE. So, I would recommend this soap for those who are looking for an alternative to chemical based beauty product to apply on their skin. After all, natural based ingredients are much better than any powerful chemicals! It really worths a try! Maybe it doesn't work well on me, but maybe it will work wonders on you guys =) If you decide to give this soap a try, why don't give a tour at this AYRA NATURALLE'S FB page (I  purchased this soap through their FB). Plus, as a proof that this soap is really a handmade product, they also provide photos for their FB visitors on the making process of this papaya beauty bar). Lastly before I end this entry, two final words worth saying for,,,,,,,,,GO NATURAL! =p

SILKYGIRL LOOSE POWDER

Bismillah...

Hi fellow readers! I'm sure many of you out there wear compact powders a.k.a pressed powder before going out right? Well, compact powder is most girl's BFF, I could say (maybe there are also guys wearing them, guys need to look after their appearances also nowadays.) I don't know about you girls, but me definitely can't let people watching my face 'bare-naked' when I go out! Absolutely NO! I have been trying many different types of compact powders on my face, since I am mmmm I think 13 years old? (I did carry compact powder in my pocket when I was at school! So appearance-obsessed, I guess =p).

Compact powder is very useful in making your face to look more lively and most importantly, with it, you'll look fresher (I don't understand how can one goes out without wearing anything on their face, unless you already possess gorgeous non-problemo skin!). BUT, I just discovered a thing that compact powder tends to make your face to become more oily. So, I did some researches on the net regarding this and it is actually true that compact powder somehow makes your face more oily after that. For those who possess dry skin or oil-free type of skin, I guess, there is nothing to worry about. But, for someone like me, I happen to be one of those people with quite oily skin especially on my T-zone area.

So, I kept Googling, and I found out that for people with oily skin type, it is best recommended for them to avoid from wearing compact powder on face to avoid your skin to become more oily later on. Instead of using compact powder, loose powder is more effective in covering your oily skin and it has longer lasting effect on your face than regular compact powder. Below are some helpful links that you can check out for more information on compact powder vs loose powder.

http://www.scandalousbeautyonline.com/2012/02/loose-vs-pressed-powder/
http://www.makeupbyrivera.com/2011/11/loose-powder-vs-pressed-powder.html

Frankly, I used to purchase Ronasutra loose powder once. And I liked it so much and it can lasts about more than 2 months with average usage. But the price is quite expensive because it is a type of mineral based makeup product (mineral based makeup is always more expensive than others), costs me about rm46, if I'm not mistaken and that causes me to think more than twice before purchasing it (sometimes I ran out from my budget!). Hahahah but thanks to my dear mom, she is also a fan of Ronasutra loose powder and I always go to her room in the most silent way I could to borrow hers! (very good tactics to save your make-up budget, just borrow things from your mom!)

Ronasutra Loose Powder
But of course, I can't keep borrowing hers, as I am aware that sooner or later, my dirty tactic will soon be detected by my mom!ahhahah So, I began to search for alternate brand of loose powder, of course something cheaper but yet very effective to control my oily skin. There are a lot of loose powder available at the pharmacies, but to make the right choice is very difficult! Some are expensive but you just can't afford it, and some are way cheaper but you just don't have enough faith on the brand! (being a girl is never easy!). So, I decided to buy the SILKYGIRL LOOSE POWDER. The price is affordable for someone who is still unemployed like me and it claims to have this effect of shine-free which means by its application, you can control your skin from becoming more oily after putting on the loose powder.

FIRST IMPRESSION:

As we all know, Silkygirl is a very well-known brand cosmetics product. So, I don't really need reviews or super attractive and extraordinary first impression that can influent me buying this product. Yeah, the packaging is neat and very satisfactory. But, I was hoping for some brand of loose powder that has already this attached sponge on it, instead of separate sponge like the pic above, so it would be more convenient and practical for travelling (in case if you want to put some powder on your face while in the car, having a separate sponge could be very troublesome, I guess that's why most people prefer to carry pressed powder with them!).

I would prefer a loose powder with packaging like this, sponge already attached to the loose powder container.
Although the SILKYGIRL loose powder provides me with separate sponge, but I don't really like the sponge as the matter of fact. The sponge aren't really helpful when it come to applying the powder on my face as the texture of the sponge is quite rough and etc. (the main point is I just don't like it). Fortunately, I have a kabuki brush in my possesion and I just use it everytime I want to apply this loose powder. With kabuki brush, I feel that it is much easier for me to help me spread the powder more evenly on my face compared to the sponge.

PRICE:

The SILKYGIRL loose powder price is very affordable. I bought it at RM 26.90 at Watson Pharmacy.

AFTER I TRIED THE PRODUCT:

I have been using it for about 3 weeks to this current time and so far, I am very satisfied with the shine-free effect it provides for my oily skin. But, to get a better and nicer effect, I would suggest you to use it together with liquid foundation, so that the powder will stay longer on your face (I've been applying Cosmoderm Flawless Foundation before putting the loose powder on my face, maybe I'll review on the Cosmoderm foundation later on! It's also a great product!). I guess by applying loose powder is very effective in controlling my oily skin compared to the times when I used compact powder (but I still carry compact powder in my handbag for emergencies).

WILL I PURCHASE THE PRODUCT AGAIN IN THE FUTURE?

Yeah definitely! The price is nice and the effect is satisfactory. An alternative to Ronasutra and other expensive brand of loose powder.

MISS ROSE KAJAL EYELINER

Bismillah...

Still feeling excited about reviewing products! ^_^ So, I decided to upload a new entry on another BP that is also in my current possession together with many more BPs (that havent been mentioned, and will be mentioned later, so plzzz wait! =p) Here it is, tadaaa~~~~ MISS ROSE CREAMY KAJAL EYELINER!

FIRST IMPRESSION:

This product as u can see from the pic above has a very neat packaging plus it is black in colour. And everything in black always looks elegant and expensive (even it is not!=p) But, that's juz my personal view =)  Juz by the look of the packaging itself, I myself was wondering at first how this eyeliner will look like on the inside. Does it look like the gel eyeliner (something with mini brush with mini black gel palette) or is this eyeliner more  like a pen eyeliner (something that looks like a whiteboard marker, so that u can easily draw lines on your upper eyelid with that pen shape). So, before purchasing this eyeliner, I actually made some research to see how others have viewed this product. REMEMBER readers! Reviews are important! Let others be the first but NEVER YOURSELF! =p

http://elianto2323-mymy.blogspot.com/2011/11/miss-rose-kajal-creamy-eyeliner.html
http://dyracunning.blogspot.com/2012/08/product-review-elianto-and-eyeliner.html

PRICE:

SO, after reading all the reviews, I was kind of attracted to this pen-shaped eyeliner. It seemed that it will not be that difficult to draw lines on oyur eyelid as it is pen-shaped. Furthermore, it is really cheap and I think it worths a try.

AFTER I TRIED THE PRODUCT:

So, I purchased the product online via a seller that I knew from my Facebook (I really used FB a lot in purchasing things online. I guess the marketing strategy through FB is really working!for me at least =p). It is only RM10 but when you have to pay for the postage fees, this eyeliner will become a bit more expensive == (I was browsing for some stuffs at Kompleks Puchong Perdana one day, and I saw there were a lot of kiosks selling the same product for the same price which is also RM10) If only I knew that I could get this eyeliner there, I would already save myself the postage fees! What a luck! Anyway, after I received the eyeliner, I straightly went into my room to try this eyeliner. I always get excited when buying new things (always wanna to try out after bought =p) I guess, the eyeliner is really easy to be applied on as it is pen-shaped (as I expected) and because it has this creamy texture, so you dont really have to stress ur hand to make a thick line on your eyelids as the eyeliner is already creamy and able to draw a thick line on your eyelids. That's a pro for this MISS KAJAL EYELINER I guess. However, it does not last long (maybe because it is creamy) on my eyelids. It tends to fade out very fast and causes mess at my upper eyes area when that happens. Such a waste because I already like its pen-shaped  == So, I dont really use this eyeliner so often when I go out (depends on my mood, but it will be my last choice. Maybe when I am running out of stock of my current eyeliner?)

WILL I PURCHASE THE PRODUCT AGAIN IN THE FUTURE?

Frankly, I dont think that I'll buy this again later, as it fades out fast and causes mess at my upper eye areas. Yeah I am aware that there are some tips that said you should apply some foundations first on your eye areas before applying this kind of eyeliner, but I guess that's a lot more work to me == I just prefer simple things and simple ways to apply my make-up when going out. So, I guess I'm just gonna stick with my current eyeliner that is the SILKYGIRL gel eyeliner, still easy to apply on and does not fade out real easy! That's the most important thing ^_^. See you girls later in my next entry!

DAISO CHARCOAL MASK

Bismillah...

As promised, my very first entry and first review on the very first BP in IAMREVNOOB! Super duper xcited!hehehe

For this first entry, I think I would be reviewing about this charcoal mask that I juz purchased from DAISO yesterday. I'll divide my review in several divisions, just to make sure everything in places and clearer for u girls (maybe there are guy readers too reading IAMREVNOOB???) to comprehend my review =)

FIRST IMPRESSION:

I was attracted to the packaging when I first saw this at DAISO (perhaps bcoz of the cartoon girl attached at the top of the tube! i always adore cartoon, especially the girlish one!)

                                             Cute isn't it???!!!

But, attraction alone is not enough as I need something else to hold on before trusting this brand. Why was I having a difficult time to decide whether I should buy this product or not?Wanna know y? Bcoz of the price!huhuhu

PRICE:

Surprisingly, I wasnt feeling hesitated to buy this product because I find it too expensive or elz, but bcoz i found it to be too cheap! I always have this negative feeling on the BP with very low price, as I believe that products with low price will definitely produce negative result to my skin later on. Yeah, i mean u get for what u paid, right??? So, I was worried that there is a possibility that this product uses low quality of ingredients and might be giving me skin irritation and more undesired probs to my skin. Plz...the last thing that I wish is not to add more probs to my-already-problemo-skin =( (Sadly, my face is quite pigmented, and I am still very young huhuhu). Btw, this product will only costs u RM5 at DAISO (as we already know that everything is sold at DAISO for RM5).

WHY I CHANGE MY MIND?

Despite the non-stop worries of the problems that I might receive, as the result for using this too-cheap product from DAISO, I was still curious whether this product will really do what it promises (based on the description that is provided at the back of the tube).

Who knows? Maybe it would really work without causing any irritation to my skin. So, this is when I searched for some reviews regarding this CHARCOAL MASK BY DAISO on the internet, and I managed to find some. Below are some useful links to the reviews that I've read regarding this charcoal mask:

http://nynb.blogspot.com/2012/07/review-daiso-black-charcoal-masque.html
http://www.cherrycolors.com/2009/12/review-daiso-black-charcoal-mask.html

But, I have to give extra credit to DAISO for the neat packaging of this tube, as there is an extra aluminium wrapping protection that we have to remove before we can start squeezing the liquid out from the tube.

AFTER I TRIED THE PRODUCT:

So, based on the reviews that I've read from other girls, I decided to try out this charcoal mask. After all, none of the reviews mentioned that this product gives them any serious irritation to their skins. I juz tried it this morning. Even though this product is actually meant for us to apply on the whole face, but I only applied on my nose area to see whether this product really effective in getting rid of the whiteheads and blackheads on my nose. But, I really think that applying this mask on ur whole face is still okay. It just that I dun really feel to apply this charcoal thingy on my whole face, I juz dun feel so. When applying the mask, it could be quite messy as the liquid is black and when it is black u will have to be extra careful not to spill it around ur room or ur toilet as it will be hard to clean up later = =

I had to wait about 15 minutes for the mask to dry completely on my nose before I can peel it off. After the liquid dried out, it didnt really hurt my nose during the peeling process. It was quite easy to peel the dried liquid off from ur nose, I have to admit. But I dont know if the peeling process hurts when u apply the mask on the whole face becoz in some reviews that I've read, some girls claimed that it is quite difficult for them to peel the mask off from their face as the process hurts (because it also removes some hairs on ur face too when u peel the mask off).

CONCLUSION:

To conclude, I am really satisfied with this charcoal mask as I could see that it is quite effective in removing ur whiteheads especially (i'm not sure about blackheads, as I could not see them to be removed together with the whiteheads due to the black colour of the charcoal itself). It didnt hurt my nose during the peeling process, so I juz love it! Plus it is cheap and very affordable. But, if u are someone who does not prefer long process of waiting as using this peel off mask will be quite time consuming, I will not suggest this charcoal mask for u. It's better to use the sticky nose strip in that case (very easy, time consuming, plus not messy!).

WILL I PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT AGAIN IN  THE FUTURE?

I think I'm gonna purchase this product again if I manage to finish it of!

Finally! (A brief intro of IAMREVNOOB)

Finally! Seriously, finally! I got to set up my very own blog on the very one thing that I always have my concern on....that is BEAUTY PRODUCTS! Well, i always adore BP and COSMETICS since i was mmmm let's recap, mybe in primary school????But, too bad kids can't wear makeup, dont they? So, Iwaited and waited till i grew up and became this big! (Not so big, i guess, i turned out to be a very petite girl, instead! Should i blame the genes or the foods????)

So, ever since I was a teenager, there were mybe already hundred of BP and C products available in the market that I've experimented on my face and body. But I never cared to write reviews about them. Juz imagine, if each product is reviewed since that time, I will already have like thousands of entries!
What a regret! I actually enjoy reading reviews written by other bloggers on the products that they tried. Some are very informative plus entertaining (with the usage of fun and easy-going vocabs) but some i found as not really helpful and did not even achieved the target of reviewing a product. As the matter of fact, i think product reviews are very helpful to others in deciding whether one should purchase the product or not. Well, reviews really help me and has a great influence in my decisions before purchasing certain BP and C products that were advertised.

Advertisements could really be deceiving as marketers really work their best to sell their products to consumers. So, reviews from those who have tried the product could really be a great help! Yeah, I am aware of the fact that each woman possess a different type of skin, and results obtained from using a beauty product could vary depending on the suitability of our skin type ability to adapt to the chemical type received by our skin. But, a little bit of research before buying a product can't do any harm, aren't they? At least, we are aware of opinions from others and we have already taken a precaution. Moreover, precautions are needed and essential in life!

Another thing about product review is that I personally do not want to become a victim of beauty!hahahha Why i say this???Well, if a product is not suitable to most reviews that I read, i'll definitely not buying the product! Let others try the product first and tell the result later, let them be the victims but never let urself, or more precisely myself to be one!hahhaha(evil laugh) Oh no, I'm already becoming one of the wicked witch already,  i guess =p But, seriously readers, why let urself to be the first to try anything by not knowing the consequence that it will later bring to urself. Let others sacrisfice first =p So, the moral of the story is NEVER BUY A BP OR C IF U CAN'T FIND ANY REVIEW ON IT! =p

And before, this entry ends, in case u would be wondering what IAMREVNOOB means, it actually stands for 'I am review noob'. Why I choose this? Juz because I dun think that i could actually write very good and super duper reviews in each of my entry later, but i'll definitely try my best to give my very honest opinion and stand on each of the product that I've experimented on myself. In other words, I am actually sacrificing myself by becoming one of the so- mentioned 'beauty victim' that i said previously in order to write reviews =p And one more thing, I will try my best also to include all the details that i consider as necessary, because sometimes i became frustrated when I dont managed to find certain details about a BP or C in most reviews i've read =( Ok, so tonight, maybe I'll start by my first BP and C product review! Let's see, maybe i'll review on this Chaarcoal Mask that I juz purchased yesterday at DAISO, so readers, wait for my next entry! ^-^

WITH LOVE,
D
